Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Contact Caller ID Plus (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our Android application. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
1. Who we are
Contact Caller ID Plus is a contact-management application that lets you create, view, edit, and delete contacts stored in the App’s internal database on your device. For questions, contact info@callerid.com.
2. Information you provide in the App
When you add or edit a contact, you may store:
- Contact name
- Country dial code and phone number
- Email address
- Optional photo / image attached to a contact
- Optional social profile links (for example Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn)
These contact details are saved locally on your device in the App’s internal database and private app storage (for photos). We do not operate a separate contact cloud account that uploads your contact book to our servers as part of core contact management.
3. Device and technical data
Depending on your device and OS settings, the App may access or process:
- Internet and network connectivity status (to load configuration, ads, and optional remote content)
- Wi‑Fi state (as declared for advertising / analytics SDK operation)
- Advertising identifiers (Google Advertising ID), where permitted by platform policy
- Install-referrer / attribution signals used by advertising partners
- Screen-recording detection signals on supported Android versions (used to protect sensitive on-screen content flows)
4. Remote configuration and optional web content
The App uses Firebase Remote Config to retrieve configuration values (including an optional URL named for app routing). If a valid URL is present, the App may open that content in an in-app WebView. Content loaded this way is provided by the destination of that URL and may have its own privacy practices.
5. Advertising and measurement partners
The App integrates third-party advertising and measurement technologies to show ads (including banner, interstitial, and rewarded formats) and to attribute installs or engagement. These may include:
- Unity Ads
- Google Mobile Ads / advertising identifier services
- Adjust (including Adjust Bridge for WebView contexts) and install referrer services
These partners may collect device and advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from IP, interaction events with ads, and technical diagnostics according to their own policies. Ad experiences may appear within the native App UI and, when applicable, within WebView surfaces.
6. Permissions we request
The App may request or declare permissions such as:
- Internet / network state
- Access / change Wi‑Fi state
- Advertising ID permission
- Screen-recording detection (where available)
- Access to phone dialer, email, and social apps when you tap contact actions (via Android intents)
Photo selection uses the system photo picker where available. Selected images are copied into the App’s private storage for contact avatars.
7. How we use information
- To provide contact storage, search, display, and edit features
- To format and open phone / email / social actions you choose
- To fetch remote configuration and, when configured, display remote web content
- To show ads and measure advertising performance
- To improve reliability and protect certain in-app content flows
8. Data sharing
We do not sell your contact list. Information may be processed by advertising, analytics, and infrastructure providers (including Firebase/Google and Unity/Adjust-related services) solely to operate the features described above. If you open a phone number, email, or social link, the destination app or website receives only what is needed to complete that action.
9. Retention and deletion
Contact data and photos remain on your device until you delete them in the App or uninstall the App (which removes the App’s local storage). Advertising partners may retain measurement data according to their retention schedules.
10. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). Do not use the App to store personal information of children where prohibited.
11. International users
Advertising and configuration services may process data in countries other than your own. By using the App, you understand that such processing may occur subject to applicable law and partner safeguards.
12. Your choices
- Edit or delete contacts and photos inside the App
- Uninstall the App to remove local App data
- Reset or limit advertising ID in Android settings
- Contact us for privacy questions at info@callerid.com
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
